An Indian man who was caught on video performing a sex act while taking off an Airbus jet was fined $5,000 and suspended from flying for three months, the Transport Ministry said on Wednesday.
According to a statement by the ministry, the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, when a passenger was flying to Mumbai from Delhi.
A video taken by an airline employee was uploaded on YouTube, showing the man, identified as Dhananjay, performing a sexual act on the plane while taking it into the cabin.
The ministry said the man had no idea that the video was being broadcast.

The ministry has initiated a case against the man for criminal defamation and is taking appropriate action,” it said.
